Editorial designs from this mornings workshop with Alec Dudson, creator of Intern Magazine.

Alec Dudson editor in charge of advertising, promotion, funding, distribution and layouts for Intern magazine. Alec came to Chester today to help give us a better understanding of the editing world, explaining the challenges and achievements he's had since publishing and establishing intern magazine.

Alec struggled to find a editing job that gave him a consistent income, so created Intern for others like him in the same position. Today we got into groups and began brain storming ideas for magazines yet on the market.

My group came up with 'relish' a magazine for 'food migration'. The idea behind relish is to display foods we all know well in Britain, foods that have became tame in Britains day to day culture. For example pizza is found in most supermarkets is traditionally from Italy. This magazine will show a map and flag for each of these meals displayed in the magazine. Another idea for this magazine is to show the background of where the foods originate and proved instructions on how to make it.We came to a conclusion of this mag costing around £8.00's purchased online and in food stores.
